Marcel Dzema’s (b. 1974, Canada) inspiration comes from folklore, Surrealism, Dada, and Soviet agitprop. His works on paper are vibrant, dreamlike combinations of fairytales, alternate histories, and religious iconography. Dzema’s works were part of exhibitions at Kunstmuseum Thun, Thun; MAZ Museo, Zapopan; Gemeentemuseum, The Hague; Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, and many more.
