Assaf Hinden (b. 1988, Kfar Saba, Israel) is a visual artist, photographer, and independent curator whose practice integrates photography with installation and lens-based media, including video, collage, and archival activation. His work explores the role of the photographer as a curator and mediator of reality, often engaging with public and private archives to create visual dialogues between disparate times and places. Through this, he re-examines linear structures of time and narrative, while observing questions of cultural identity, heritage, and belonging. Hinden’s work has been exhibited at prominent international institutions, including Wilhelm Hallen, Berlin; the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Lentos Kunstmuseum, Linz; Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv; The Lobby – Art Space, Tel Aviv; Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland; Benaki Museum, Athens; and FOMU – Fotomuseum, Antwerp. His works are included in prestigious public and private collections, such as the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Collection (USA), the Mareva and Arthur Sadoun Esbag Collection (France), and the Mobileye Collection (Israel).
