Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol (b. 1928, USA – d. 1987, USA) was an American artist and filmmaker. A leading exponent of the pop art movement, Warhol reshaped the contemporary art world. His works are known to explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising, and celebrity culture that flourished by the 1960s. Some of the most prominent museum collections across the globe are home to Warhol’s work, including the Tate, London; MoMA, New York; The Metropolitan Museum, New York; The Broad, Los Angeles; Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt.
